Great wee cinema, comfy seats, can take in drinks that are for sale there, & a lovely dog to greet you.

On Rue Jolie there are many cute landmark buildings. The cinema is small adjacent to the community library. They honor the indigenous natives and write building titles in English and Maori. There are chairs and tables on the terrace as well as meeting rooms. We did not have time to see a movie but the library was focal point and it offered free WiFi to visitors. The password was printed on the side door and a big group gathered to enjoy the internet

Just around the corner from French Bay House and the waterfront accommodations, they had an amazing of movies shown throughout the day - couldn't believe such a small town would have such a good theatre. Good for adults and children

I took my son the see Bumblebee, a latest release movie for $25 for the two of us which is good value. The cinema only held 36 people, we were the only two in there! Comfortable, and charming.

A cute, bijou cinema close to the town centre. There are two small movie theaters with very plush, comfortable seating. Approximately 20 seats in each.

David, the owner, likes to chat movies and knows a lot. He selects recent releases and
out-of-the-ordinary cult films.

There's a little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, and free wi-fi from the library next door.

Tonight the weather packed in with snow and hail. So we decided to catch a film and found that akaroa has a wee gem of a theatre. Leather seats, good sound , licensed with a good wine selection and the host was a real character who really looked after us and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend you go and enjoy a good movie here.

We came here on a wet evening - they were showing the latest movie releases. There are only six rows in the theatre and the seats are all large and comfortable with a place to put your glass of wine between every second seat.

We loved this little movie theatre! We always arrived early to spend some time chatting with David, the owner, a great guy who knows a lot about earthquakes and yes, movies. There's a little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and two small movie theaters with very plush, comfortable seating. You can hang out here and hook into the free wifi from the library which is right next door. Thanks David for your kindness and friendship.
