Visited on Wednesday 25th April. We did not go inside as the building had revovation working going on and appeared to be closed when we were there. This will definately be on our list of places to see when we come back to Akaroa again.

This sits a few blocks from town central, across from the bowling greens. Well maintained. Wife went to mass and said it was very nice. Inside is nice.

Fascinating history this little gem sits stately at the top of a well maintained lawn. Peaceful and conducive to prayer and worship regardless of your faith. Beautiful view across the harbour from this lovely place of worship.

Situated on a little rise, old church is just lovely, well maintained, unfortunately when we visited it wasn’t open so couldn’t go inside, maybe we were there too early, worth the stroll along from the shops

I visited this Church on Friday and it was such a gorgeous, peaceful place. I was able to light some candles for my family and say some prayers without interruption from others. There is the option to donate as well.

This tiny church in Akaroa is just a small neighborhood place of gathering. The facade may deserve a photo but nothing more.

Located in an attractive residential area, this historic church, recently celebrating its 150th anniversary, is a beautiful and photogenic building, with some very attractive gardens ringing the property. It is incredible to think that the church suffered significant damage in the 2011 earthquake, which has...More
