Visited on Wednesday 25th April. We did not go inside as the building had revovation working going on and appeared to be closed when we were there. This will definately be on our list of places to see when we come back to Akaroa again.
our third visit to this grand old church.were here for mass ester sunday 2016.it was bursting at the walls.my wife and i meet Fr Shanahan who had just delivered a very inspiring service.We will be back for mass on sunday 1 july 2018
Fascinating history this little gem sits stately at the top of a well maintained lawn. Peaceful and conducive to prayer and worship regardless of your faith. Beautiful view across the harbour from this lovely place of worship.
Situated on a little rise, old church is just lovely, well maintained, unfortunately when we visited it wasn’t open so couldn’t go inside, maybe we were there too early, worth the stroll along from the shops
I visited this Church on Friday and it was such a gorgeous, peaceful place. I was able to light some candles for my family and say some prayers without interruption from others. There is the option to donate as well.
