The main building has a few rooms with history of the peninsula and artifacts. The staff will happily tell you a lot as well. The film in the adjacent courthouse is quite good. Nothing lasts long but it is a free museum.

Looks recently renovated and updated to modern standards. There is lots of info about the history of the area - but you have to be really interested to read everything that is there.

A great collection of antiquities and memorabilia celebrating the arrival of the colonist to Akaroa. Especially love looking in the windows of the old cottage.
