Fantastic and varied scenery, terrain and wildlife. some tough climbs but only carrying a day pack they are fine. Great views from the tops, and on the way up/down.
Excellent accommodation with fully equipped communal kitchens. All baggage, including a chilly bin if you like, transported daily for you. This means you can plan proper meals yet not have to carry all that weight. There are even opportunities to buy basics which you can read about on website. Well sticked little shop on the third night provided all we needed for a very nice meal cooked largely on the BBQ that's there.
Sleeping is somewhat like DOC huts, but numbers are quite controlled, and rooms max 4 bunks each, so if you are in a group you are likely to have a room for yourselves. Hot showers!!
Tracks are very well marked and in good condition. Our thanks to the people who put in a lot of hard work after landslips caused by heavy rain just a few weeks prior to our walk to make the tracks comfortably walkable again.

The organisation and quirky accommodation is perfect for a pleasant hike around the Peninsula. Having bags carried meant a different crowd to what we’ve experienced on more challenging hikes.
Was nice to be able to eat well when no real restriction on weight for carrying.
Well worth a visit!

An amazing experience. Smooth service from the booking to the uplift of gear and people delivered to the first "hut". Each hut was very unique, ability to purchase basics milk, wine etc at each hut and a larger "store" at Stoney Bay. Plenty of room, warm and inviting at the end of each day. Kayaking at Flea Bay and the ability to see Penguins during a free tour in the evening was amazing. The track is very well marked with. shelters and loo stops along the way. A definite "must do". Outstanding scenery, wildlife and a sense of adventure guaranteed.

A wonderful walk. Don’t be fooled by the km though, this is quite a strenuous walk given the ascents, descents and rugged track in places. The views are awesome, the scenery varied including farm tracks, fabulous bush, waterfalls, forests, grasslands. Coastal much of the time, we saw seals, dolphins and so many Penguins. Accommodation was good, quaint places. Highly recommend!
