We had the most FANTASTIC ebike tour with Greville from Akaroa Ebike Safaris, doing their coastal cruise route.
I am not a confident mountain biker but felt totally at ease with a great ebike (Scott), wonderful advice and guidance and we had a very entertaining and informative commentary about the geography, history,, flora and fauna of the Akaroa area.
We climbed up from Duvauchelle to the ridge line where we had spectacular views of the whole of Akaroa harbour. We were lucky that there had been a dusting of snow overnight and we had patches along the ridges and it made for beautiful vistas. Riding along the ridge we could see north with glimpses of the southern alps and Kaikoura and south the whole Akaroa basin was picture perfect.
We hope to get back to do the Lava Loop trail with this company soon.

Thank you to Greville for a guided ebike ride up and around Mt Busso. 800+m elevation. The ebikes were in great condition, no mechanical hiccups. Lots of guidance from Greville as we made it up some of the challenging parts. The roads were very quiet so it made it much nicer riding. This is a must do in Akaroa if you like active participation in the outdoors.

Wow, what a fantastic couple of hours! From the outset Greville put us at ease. He particularly created rapport and trust with my wife, a first time rider! Under his supervision he facilitated an amazing ascent up to some spectacular views. So proud to live in this great country and so pleased to have done the lava loop with Greville. We highly recommend this company - a great example of passion, enthusiasm and fun!

The dishonest merchant, while handling service inquiries, displayed a rude attitude and provided customers with misleading information. After the payment was made, we realized that the service did not meet our needs. To make matters worse, the merchant insisted on imposing an additional charge that doubles other merchants would require, and they refused to issue a refund. It is clear that the merchant deliberately aimed to deceive and defraud customers.

Dear Unidentified client, We have no idea who you are or what you are referring to. You have never contacted us directly, if you did not take up your activity on the day you booked it, you would have seen our seats sold are non refundable as we can not resell the seats at short notice. I'm sure most businesses operate with this model. We must have protection in place for people changing their mind last minute and we are left out of pocket when it's too late for anyone else to join. Our guides are paid regardless for their time. This is the only one star review we have ever had so it is very disappointing to see this especially since there was no direct contact and this review was obviously aimed to damage our small family business just because the client changed their mind on the day.

A truly awesome experience! A fabulous ride, with an expert guide, who puts your safety & experience top. I thoroughly enjoyed it & the views are beyond words! I would 100% recommend it to anyone with reasonable fitness, although they will tailor the ride to suit experience & ability. If/when I’m next in town I will defo re book another ride with them. Thank you so much, team Akaroa e-bikes! Totally awesome!

We hired eMTBs to ride the Little River Rail Trail, and had a great day. The bikes were easy and fun to ride and very well maintained, and the organisation and communication was perfect. Highly recommend.

We've just had an amazingly good time with Akaroa Ebike Safari. Everything went very smoothly and as per the plan. Picked up at the store and given a one min ride to the bike pick-up centre and to meet our guide. Lovely people run this experience, very friendly and thorough with safety (without any dramas) with top notch equipment to back up the experience.
This was the first time we had been on an Ebike and certainly won't be the last! All the fun of cycling without the pain! It is the very best way to get out and soak up the beauty of the surrounding area. Various routes are available to meet your particular wishes.
Despite the Ebike team being wonderful, the bikes and safety equipment being awesome, there is only one stand out superstar....Akaroa! #beautiful

Three of us in our fifties did this and loved it. Awesome guide, awesome ride!! The e bike made it super easy for someone who hasn’t been on a bike in a long long time. Loved this!! Would recommend for all ages. 👍🏼

A great morning out riding the Lava loop with Greville. The ride covered flat sections on an old rail line hugging the coast with steady climbs on sealed roads and sections of gravelled roads with easy descents.
Beautiful views all the way. Highly recommended.
Suitable for most ages, as we are senior citizens!

We had a great time using the e-bikes to get us to parts of Akaroa that we would have never reached on foot! Well worth the money and super easy to ride with great service also. Highly recommend!
