If you're looking for the warmest, most comfy, pure-joy-for-feet slipper - this is the place to go. AND they will go the extra mile to make sure you get what you're after.
I recently bought some slippers for my daughter's birthday. They had the size I was after, but I live in Chch and decided to drive over because I was nervous they wouldn't arrive in time if I got them shipped. The sales staff were amazing! They said they could get them to Halswell (via a 3-person process!) and I picked them up from there. Seriously outstanding service, way beyond the call of duty! My daughter got her gift in time, loves her new slippers, and I didn't have to drive all the way to Akaroa to make it happen.

This is a wonderful wool clothing store. Although a smallish store, it is well stocked, primarily with coats and sweaters in a variety of colors and styles. Items are generally pricey, but I think they're cheaper than in larger cities. The staff was friendly, helpful, and patient.
