We happened across this church on our wandering through Tavira. It was very peaceful and the hand painted walls were stunning. I love to see the personalities each of the churches take on and no 2 are alike. So many churches in a small area.

Taken to this church by the Tavira Tuk Tuk driver as part of the trip and found it very nice and with piano music being played live.

A very beautiful interior. Truly spellbinding. The architecture and the art are amazing and there is good interpretation.

So beautiful! The murals for each stage of the cross are amazing, so much history to explore and appreciate in this quite modest of churches in Tavira.

This church will make you catch your breath. Quite simply stunning. Tavira has 27 churches. It's an amazing place. I'd highly recommend you going along. Also, there are often musical performances; either the church choir, or at the moment, guitar recitals.
