Perhaps not the obvious destination for a couple of older travellers to go to but we had a really good time. We visited on a wet Saturday afternoon and were greeted by some very happy staff. The main illusions can be found over 2 floors and on the staircases. There are quite a few camera opportunites and the staff were only too happy to take pictures for us, adding to our experience.

cltboy hello! Thank you so much for your kind review. It makes us so happy to read about your wonderful experience with our staff. A wet Saturday is a great time to visit us, hehe! Of course, our museum is suitable for all generations - including seniors. We also offer a very special price of the ticket for senior visitors. And you explained it amazingly - we have our illusions on two main floors, but also at the bottom floor where we also have our two game rooms. Here there are planty of opportunities to play with challanging mind teasers and puzzles - this goes for adults and children. We are happy that you got planty of photos out of your experience and that you got help from our friendly staff. I love this sort of attraction & have been to similar before in other countries, but this one had something I've never seen before which blew me away.
They keep it until almost the end so you don't peak too early, but you feel like you are rolling around & can't stand up straight with audio designed to confuse you even more!
I loved it, but it made my girlfriend feel seasick.
Apart from this, there was a big illusion I was looking forward to seeing that was unfortunately closed for maintenence which is a mirror room that has mirrors everywhere with moving things on the walls which makes for great photos.
Plenty of incredible holograms which you have to get close & personal with from all angles to see what they all mean....worth the effort!
Plenty of facts about the illusions on offer & even a bed of "nails" that you can levitate on, that I found a bit uncomfortable & sharp!
Don't miss this if you are a big kid.

We hope your girlfriend felt better soon after the tunnel roll, it is a challange for some people. Some really enjoy it and go in many times, for others it's a bigger challange. Experience of our exhibits is definitely a very individual and unique thing - also with the bed of nails, it usually is quite relaxing for people, but again - the experience is very individual. We hope you at least got a great photo of you levitating! And we are sorry that the infinity room was being renovated right at the time you came. BUT. This is definitely the reason why you must come again next time, and we will be very happy to see you again!

Nice museum, not particularly extensive. It's three stories, little ones to walk up and down the same stairs. Our son really liked the illusion of the table with mirrors (whose body under the table seems to disappear) and the bed with spatial leavening (through many "needles" that lift you from the wooden top). Passing through Ljubjana the visit is very convenient, because the museum is right in the center 2 steps from the main underground parking lot of the city, so stop almost "obligatory". You will visit it all in less than an hour. You may take a little longer if you start playing all the various skill games on the ground floor (behind the hall where they sell the entrance tickets).

Small, beautifully designed and interactive museum. Definitely worth a visit! You can experience many interesting and funny moments alone, with friends or family. The tour will take around 1.5 hours.

This is a must do in Ljubljana especially if you're travelling with kids. We spent a couple of hours inside and we loved it. Interesting place right in the city centre. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Thank you for this amazing experience !

The staff, especially the manager Jaka, was great! So friendly and nice, willing to explain everything we wanted to know. The exhibits of illusions were very interesting and it was fun allround, especially for our 10-year-old boy :) At the end of excursion you can play tricky mind games. The whole tour take app. 1,5 - 2 hours. So take time and enjoy yourself while staying in Ljubljana ;)

I thought it would be a fun experience considering how highly rated it is. However, I think most people will already have seen a lot of what is on display. They have a game room, which could be fun if you are visiting with kids. All in all, an ok visit, but I was disappointed and definitely think it is overrated.

It’s a small museum so only takes about 30-40min. There’s a few fun things to do but nothing to special. Would recommend to do it in the evening after you’ve spent your time sightseeing.

This place was interesting. Was quite small, however the illusions they did have were pretty good. They have a room of wooden puzzles. My husband managed most of them, however the one he couldn’t do he ended up purchasing from their shop! Good place to visit on a rainy day. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Maybe we will come back one day when my husband finally manages that wooden cube!!!
