Vrsic Pass in the Julian Alps offers some beautiful views. It has many hairpin curves, so it helps if you are used to driving in the mountains. The area is loaded with history and well worth the trip.

We drove up from Kranjska Gora and admired the sensational views. The road was very drivable but do watch out for bicycles! Lots of pull outs to stop and take a look.

Went on a day trip to the Julian Alps and was not disappointed. The views and scenery throughout the trip could not be better. Of all the trips on offer I would rate this one the best.

Do not miss the opportunity to drive through this pass if you have the time. We drove this way around when traveling from Bled to the Brda region for some wine tasting. Some of the most spectacular mountain scenery, well worth the drive. We drove...More

We recommend the hikes to Visoki Mavrinc and Slemenova Spica. We spent 4 days in the Julian Alps and the Slemenova Spica hike was our favorite.

There designated parking areas through the area. A map indicating them could be useful

Your question has been answered very well, but I wanted to add that as you have young and old in your group, you should always ask a local or someone walking in the other direction about how easy the path is. Some are much... More
