Maja Osojnica is frequently cited as the best viewpoint for watching Lake Bled. There are two walking paths which will take you there. Both of them are fairly steep, so count on taking a sweat, but they are not too challenging if you are in...More

I am certain I took the correct track but I did not start from Pension Bomi but from the other end. I reached the top and did not see Lake Bled nor the bench. As it turned out, the bench was much lower. The ascent...More

Make sure you take the woodland hike to the top rather than the paved/stony path way, it's more peaceful and definitely more satisfactory once you get to the top!

We used this track spontaneosly without prior preparations. Luckily there were sunny days before; a small muddy patch taught us the dangers of a slippery terrain on the sowery days. you have to guess the starting point which is located on the other side of...More

Well worth crossing lake Bled to visit this island. The trip is in a typical boat, rowed by very strong lads. This has been a tradition of the area for generations. There is a small church to be looked around. At the top of the...More

Looking for the postcard picture of Bled with the lake, the island, castle and Karavanke mountains in the background? This is the spot. The route is signposted, but you need to look out for it carefully along the western shore, as you pass Velika Zaka....More

This is worth the climb to get the great view of Lake Bled. I was a bit confused by the signage though, so be careful! I don't think you can get lost, but you never know.

The hike is quite short but hard, but after 30-60 min you’ll reach the viewpoint where you have fantastic views of the lake and the island. Also, the path goes through the forest so the hike is really enjoyable. On the way down you can...More

Nice view from there. I would recommend do few steps higher and go to Velika Osojnica. There is less people and nice view as well.

Amazing views of Lake Bled as a reward for a short uphill hike! Track can be hard to find, but ask around :)

The hike up to this view point is short but quite steep in places (especially the short run of stairs!). The path is clearly defined but there are rocks and exposed tree routes throughout so good footwear would be advised. Along the way there are...More

The view from the top is trully beautiful. Make sure you take good proper shoes for the climb, because there are a lot of rocks and mud if it rains. Flip flops and sandals are not an option. You can take two ways to get...More
