Given Lodz’s place in the history of Polish film I was expecting a more dynamic display. The museum is a collection of rooms featuring old film making equipment and projectors that appear to have been placed in a random manner with no narative.

There is very very little attempt to translate the signage into other languages, even English. There are a couple of token translations but not enough to be informative. You mostly end up walking around looking at old film kit you know little about and there’s...More

I know - great history, many technical information, panoptikon and other intersting exhibitions. But I loved the meeting the Moomins and other characters from childrenhood: Bartolini Bartłomiej and Szpieg z Krainy Deszczowców, Zaczarowany Ołówek and other. Maybe it's a bit confussing at the beginning especially...More

Firstly it's important to know, that it's not only the film museum. Main part of the exhibition are interesting cinematic devices, history, photos. For Poles it is exciting to see past animated stories from childhood. Additionally the exhibition is located in Karol Scheibler Palace. We...More

If you're a film historian or buff it's a great museum. Lodz has a rich history in film, great directors and cinematographers came out of the Lodz Film School.

The museum is located in the extraordinary interior. You can see everything what is important in film history connected with our city and it is absolutely "must visit" in Łódź.
