This will be a great little area to walk along and observe when it's not covered with snow. There does appear to be quite a few stars, which we rubbed a few to see names, but my hands were cold so didn't manage to see then all. Not sure how many there are in total.

Visited on Friday 6th October. While walking down near the Wawel Dragon below the Castle we came across these plaques as a memorial to the stars.

Walking along the river is a must, so you'll probably run into this Avenue of Stars. Nothing special in my opinion. You can look for it if you find it interesting or skip it at all if you're not. Maybe a nice site for those who wanted to visit Hollywood Boulevard and couldn't.

Walking along the riverbank of the Vistula River you will find Avenue Of Star's ,brass plaques and stars inlaid into the walkway, its a cute ,fun diversion as you walk along the riverfront, some names are instantly recognisable and some Polish film or tv star's not so recognisable, its well worth a few minutes of your time if you're near the fire breathing dragon below Wawel Castle/ Cathedral.

Not sure why you would want to create a replica of such a landmark - anyway this is what is now at display on the pedestrian walking area longing the river and passing by the famous Wavel dragon.

Some plaques are clearly out after the person died - like Michael Jackson - and hence have no hand prints. Others are from famous Polish people from the movies - or foreigners; did they visit Krakow at all?

It seems a bit of an odd place to put them and the idea as a whole is quite odd too I find - especially in these surroundings!

Walking from the C.C Stefan Batory ( boat bar/ restaurant ) towards the famous fire breathing dragon along the riverbank you will find the Avenue Of Stars.
These are brass plaques with the handprints of famous celebrities on ,very similar to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame,to be honest I had never heard of most of the stars here ,I recognised some such as Luc Besson,Benedict Cumberbatch,Claudia Cardinale but the rest were I think were Polish film stars ,it's still an interesting set of plaques to check out if you're in the area and easy to locate along the River Vistula riverbank.

Akin to the Walk of Fame in Hollywood there are a bunch of stars featuring hand prints of famous Polish and Global film personalities. They are on the river sidewalk under the Wavel Hill close to the fire breathing dragon.

We were thrilled to have found the star of Amitabh Bachchan, the greatest Bollywood star ever.

If you’re in the vicinity, you might as well check it out. There aren’t many plaques but interesting enough. Plus nice river views.

We passed the Avenue of Stars late at night in the dark. There’s a row from 2008 onwards, but the names I recognised could be counted om both hands :)
Lots of eastern europe’s famous I guess!

Avenue Of Stars is a series of brass plaques to famous Polish performers whose names are emblazoned on the plaques along with a set of hand prints.
Easy to overlook as the magnificent Wawel Castle complex is located by the avenue as is the wonderful fire breathing Krakow Dragon, if it's snowing the plaques will be covered, conversely if it hot they will be obscured by gravel but there well worth checking out, it's a novel attraction and adds to the joy of visiting the castle area.
Easy to locate ,the avenue is near the River Vistula just by the dragon.
Well worth checking out.
