The National Museum is diveded on multiple sites around the city. All of them are accessible for free on saturday. The presentations are very diverse and you will certainly find something that fits your liking.

The museum was very interesting, and the different displays were very well done! There was also a huge collection of model ships from all over the world.

As you go in, on the right is a staggeringly good collection of Gothic religious carving. This alone is worth the admission price (though we didn't pay it, as it was Saturday....). The piece showing John the Baptist's head being presented to Salome is amazing....More

A good way to spend some time with your children, especially on the rainy day. The museum has the perfect location to take a walk afterwards ( hopefully it will be sunny again:-)
