It took a bit of effort to get a good look in the Powder Towe. The stairs are very narrow and circular with no apparent entrance and exit. Everyone just goes wherever. Once inside the effort is worth it. This is a fascinating exhibition showing...More

The entrance can be easily missed and the ticket office is half way up. Very steep stairs but worth it when you get to the top. If you have planned to go to the Old Town tower on Charles bridge then you could probably give...More

As part of walking around Prague , it really is worth having a look at the Powder Tower. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to visit it , but it’s quite central to many other places worth visiting in Prague.

One of the 13 gates to the city, powder tower has used for many purposes: to store powder, as an accomodation for the chaplains of St. Vitus Cathedral, and as an alchemy lab.

History in Prague is magnificent. This is a must see and then continue the walk to the town square. I only viewed from the outside

More interesting on the outside than inside. Accessed via a poorly signposted door in a separate building. If you can pick your way up the narrow staircase you are rewarded by a great view of the city.

Incredible views from the top of this tower. Definitely not accessible if stairs are an issue - very tight and hard to go up/down however definitely worth the climb.

Entrance is at street level via a door with small winding steps just keep going till you get to where they give you your ticket. Badly signposted as it doesn't actually say entrance as the tower is also attached to the building at its side....More

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents
the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and
squares, and stone towers blend together with the

No it's on the first level, up a spiral staircase and quite tight for space. Hope this helps.

Tickets are easily bought at the base of the tower. No worries. Only go up if you have a clear day with great visibility.
