Most of my reviews are about nightlife(sry), but this. This Park deserves a review. I love it. Go out, sit down, turn off your phone, take a deep breath, chill.

Despite being a tranquil place to unwind, as a wheelchair user, I found it extremely poor. I think the trails could state whether how good they are for wheelchair users.
The so call accessible toilet was absolutely appalling. I don't even think Part M of...More
Came here for a nice walk with the wife. No kids with us so it was a lovely quiet walk around the reservoir. 7 miles in total. Had a nice bacon sandwich and a cuppa in the cafe upon our return to the car. This...More
Love this place. Worth stopping by if your travelling between Northampton and Leicester, or a day out destination. Parking is around 3.50 for the day, cafe and cycle shop on site that hires out good bikes to ride around the water. This is about 7...More

My friends took me here while on a visit to them. It was just walking distance from their house, but they said the park had a car park and it was £2.50 to park. We took one of the many walks, and saw the reservoir,...More

Thank you for your feedback. Parking charges were introduced a while back to pay for the general upkeep of the country park. Although owned by Northamptonshire County Council, the Country Parks Service does not receive any capitol funding, therefore we must run our parks from revenue. We do this in a number of ways, including car parking charges, events and donations. Without it, we would not be able to manage even the basic tasks such as mowing, litter picking, providing dog bins or general park maintenance. We do offer a very reasonable annual parking pass for £37 per park, or £49 for all 5; these can be bought from our website Northamptonshire Parks, or by calling 0300 126 100.
I hope this explains the need for the parking charges. If you would like to discuss this, or any other query, please call our park office on 0300 126 5932.

Sorry I don't understand, why shouldn't disabled people pay for parking like everyone else? I doubt the cafe give disabled people free drinks/snacks either, and I bet the petrol station charged them for fuel too.
