Knebworth House is famous worldwide for its rock concerts and as the home of Victorian novelist Edward Bulwer Lytton, who wrote 'It was a dark and stormy night'. This beautiful gothic mansion is situated 29 miles north of London with direct access from the A1(M) at Stevenage. Knebworth offers a great day out for all the family. Delightful gardens extend to 28 acres with Dinosaur trail and maze, walled vegetable garden and herb garden. The historic Deer Park is perfect for picnics, with huge Adventure Playground featuring zip wire, astro and drop slides, water splash play and bouncy castle. Gift shop and Garden Terrace Tea Room. The House, Gardens and Park are open from 12 March to the end of September at the weekend, and also daily during the school holidays. Please check open days before visiting! Plenty of free parking. Dogs on leads welcome in the Park. See the website for full details of open days, online tickets and events programme. Open year round for corporate events and private bookings.

This was a themed event probably aimed at the 5-8 year olds. The event was well staffed with a pumpkin passport and the children collected stamps at the various stalls - fantastic day and the fancy dress costumes were all great!More

My family and I visited Knebworth House gardens and the park during a rainy day. Once the rain stopped, we travelled around the dinosaur trails and enjoyed the variety of colourful rose gardens.More

If there is adverse weather conditions the jousts will be cancelled as it is dangerous for the horses and riders. However, we will try to lay on alternative entertainment.
