Knebworth House is famous worldwide for its rock concerts and as the home of Victorian novelist Edward Bulwer Lytton, who wrote 'It was a dark and stormy night'. This beautiful gothic mansion is situated 29 miles north of London with direct access from the A1(M) at Stevenage. Knebworth offers a great day out for all the family. Delightful gardens extend to 28 acres with Dinosaur trail and maze, walled vegetable garden and herb garden. The historic Deer Park is perfect for picnics, with huge Adventure Playground featuring zip wire, astro and drop slides, water splash play and bouncy castle. Gift shop and Garden Terrace Tea Room. The House, Gardens and Park are open from 12 March to the end of September at the weekend, and also daily during the school holidays. Please check open days before visiting! Plenty of free parking. Dogs on leads welcome in the Park. See the website for full details of open days, online tickets and events programme. Open year round for corporate events and private bookings.

Knebworth House is truly lovely. If you have the good fortune of visiting in the Summer months then I would truly recommend that you spend an adequate amount of time looking around and enjoying the gardens. Lovely!

We had a sales meeting at the hotel and afterwards were shown around Knebworth House. It is a lovely place, so much history. The gardens looked beautiful, when i'm back in the area i will bring the family with me to spend more time here.

If there is adverse weather conditions the jousts will be cancelled as it is dangerous for the horses and riders. However, we will try to lay on alternative entertainment.
