Situated in original hamam, well preserved artefacts show part of Turkish history. To bad that for those who don't speak Turkish, only a wrinkly piece of paper on English is given, with font to small to be readable in the half-lighted rooms.
Fair deal regarding the price, and you also get entrance in another museum nearby (which unfortunately is equally unfit for foreigners - no labels and no one speaks English or any language other than Turkish).

The bath was built by Grand Vizier Rüstem Pasha who was the son-in-law of Suleyman the Magnificient. This is the only museum for Turkish bath in Turkey. The entrance fees are 6TL and 5TL for adults and students respectively. The tickets also give a free access to Yaşayan Müze.

This was a museum bulit about 400 years ago. On a hot day, this is a great escape from the heat. The building is very nice and you get a nice appreciation of what went on in a hamam in those days. What made our trip was the charming young guide we had. She really made it a great visit with her knowledge and personality.

This beautiful little museum is very worth it to visit! Our whole family enjoyed learning about the history of this old building. The guide could not speak English, but we were supplied with an English paper explaining interesting facts. Well worth the visit!

A beautiful old building, with very good displays of craft objects used in taking the bath. Buy joint ticket with Museum of Living

The museum is not very big so you do not need a lot of time to walk around. The historical items are the biggest attraction and there are some old photos that bring the nostalgic feeling to the surface
