Site with historical interest with pelourinho dating from the reign of D. Sebastião. The castle now serves as a viewpoint, with the dam and cliffs containing many fossils. Old farmhouse is today a museum that can be visited and that remains with all the traces...More

This town just looks like another hillside village as you drive by. The first time, I did just drive by. However, it has more to it than you might think. There is a lake, an amazing swimming area, a castle, old mills and a giant...More

The village itself is just nice, but the walk is really worth the effort and has a lot of interesting features. Not well indicated though.

We walked to the castle and then through the "geopark" to the dam and back. The rock formations, the views from everywhere were fabulous. Absolutely worth an hour or two of your time! (And it's free.)
