Worth a stop while on a walk along the canal to rest and learn a bit of history. The area surrounding it is lovely and worth exploring as well.

Well worth a trip to see the castle, a nice walk along the canal to get there. There are a few information boards there to read.

It’s a lot smaller than I was expecting but it’s worth stopping for if you are in the area and the river along side is lovely!

Visited when walking along the canal path; easy, safe access; small ruin with adequate signing, especially helpful for visitors to the area; small grass area for picnics; excellent for photography;
