About EcoZip Adventures
We offer state-of-the-art flying fox ziplines and an eco-immersive forest walk for nature lovers of all ages. With a complimentary pick up from the island's ferry terminal at Matiatia Wharf, or from Oneroa Village bus stop if you're already on the island, you'll enjoy a "mini-tour" of the island en route to our site on Trig Hill. Upon arrival and welcome at our visitor centre, you will be checked-in, geared up, and readied for one of Auckland's most eco-friendly activities! Three 200m dual flying fox ziplines will fly you smoothly side-by-side with a partner, friend or relative down into a stunning tract of original and regenerating native 'bush' (forest). It's a scenic interpretive walk back to base, where you'll learn about local flora and fauna and the conservation of our spectacular natural environment. With a choice of drop-off locations afterwards, we'll make sure you have plenty of things to do on the island!

Went here on a recommendation from a friend and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was a little sceptical with the price and what was on offer but I was nicely surprised to find it was very very professionally ran and good value for money. The guides were brilliant and made sure everyone was comfortable and well informed regarding the rules and processes required to operate a safe business and quite a tricky operation. The forest walk was great and the walk back up to the centre was easy graded for a comfortable walk back. Thoroughly recommended.

I am afraid of heights but the staff here made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, it was the best experience of my life! So good, in fact, I have since been again and would love to go another time. EcoZip has become a Waiheke Island staple for me and I don't think I'll visit the island again, or Auckland for that matter, without going for a Zip! The first time I went I was with a group of friends in the blazing heat and the second time was with my partner just as a sub-tropical storm was coming in. Both times were incredibly fun and different. I really enjoy the nature walk and conservation talk on the way back to HQ after as well. On our sub-tropical storm adventure trip their EFTPOS machine went down and they very kindly gave us the photos (one attached here) for free! Just goes to show this business really care about their customers.

I love zip lining so was very happy to try it on Waiheke. Great staff and felt very safe. Enjoyed the first two zips but because I am older and had been warned about the hike back up the hill sadly did not do the final one. It is a shame that older adventurous, or disabled people are not catered for. All zip lining I have done overseas have a system to get back to the start. Apart from this had a great time.
