You can go there almost any time of the year. The landscape is very beatyfull. Obviously the migration time is the best to see birds. Well indicated the itinerary . Good info and planta of bird watching places.

Nesting White Storms, Ibis, flamingos, hoopoes and many more all to the musical accompaniment of numerous nightingales. Fabulous place to spend many hours but beware you cannot use your bike in the Parc.

Great setting to walk around, have a picnic lunch. Birdwatching was somewhat limited when we were there due to lack of water.

I am sorry that I cannot give an accurate answer as we visited in a hire car. We did meet a couple who said that they had come by bus but we do not know how far they walked from the bus stop.
