Bevagna: If you are by car, there is spacious parking lot near “Porta Todi” in the direction of Montefalco. This Porta is more an elegant stone bridge integrated in the Roman walls that surround a splendid Bevagna. Continue to the Central Piazza San Silvestro where...More

We stopped into Bevagna before moving on to a local vineyard for wine tasting. It was a quiet day there and this little piazza shined. It was clean but filled with great charachter with all the streets leading to and from it.

Bevagna is one if those towns one sees in both good and bad films set in Italy. It's main piazza is of average size and little activity, but offers that great to be alive feel.

There are certain smaller and more slightly insider European bases or stops that cause many to say things like, "God,in Italy, I love Rome and Florence,.and Venice"., but it's the more selective and slightly less familiar places like Lezzeno, Levanto, San Gimignano, Cortona, Bevagna, San...More

It really does look like the stage setting for an opera...two Romansque churches face each other across a level,stone-paved town square with a medieval stone well off to one side and a steep, wide staircase leading up to the Town Hall on the other side with...More
