Decided to take a look see and found it a little interesting. Has several things on display and some history of the barracks and Army in the area, as well as the immigration camp that was nearby.

The Army Museum Bandiana is well worth a look. A great collection of memorabilia and vehicles covering the Boer war to the present day. Highly recommended

Not sure why you have to book in advance - probably as it is on an active army base; but well worth the trouble of calling ahead (at least 24 hours) and booking a slot. Only open 3 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday)...More

Easily done. South Bandiana where the museum is, is not that far from Latchford Barracks, about 12 km's. Not sure if you will get access to Latchford Barracks. You would have to contact HQ at Latchford. South... More
