It was probably the site of Victoria's first settlement and had significance with its lighthouses and time ball and defence facility but it is now a rather barren and poorly presented area with the time ball on a path of grass. There is a walkeway around...More

Nice drop-by going to the bay trail. If you are a descendant to one of the earliest immigrants here, this could make a really special place.

A good stop off on your way to elsewhere. Nice bit of history over the road from the beach. Plenty of grass for the kids and/or dog to run. Lots of noisy pooing seagulls spoil it a bit.

A stone's throw from Williamstown train station, the park is delight to stroll. The view is stunning with the distance Melbourne city skyline.

A nice park to visit for a stroll, bike ride or a run. Views over Melbourne are good but there are better views of the city skyline if you go further around the bay. Park is clean and reasonably well maintained.

Visited on Tuesday 20th June. This is an area of Williamstown which has been preserved with a building from the early part of the Hobsons Bay settlement. We parked the car nearby and went for a closer look at the shot tower. You also get...More
