Lovely calm spot. Great when we arrived as a school excursion was going on, so lots of young children enjoying exploring the area too.

Stopped here on market Sunday as part of a day trip. Market was tiny, quite disappointing. Park is very well maintained, beautiful old trees. Toilets on site. Parking is tricky, on market day, one or two hours on a Sunday. You can't linger.

Commonwealth Reserve is bordered by Nelson Place and is the location for the Visitor Information Centre and the Gem Pier. Once a mud flat and reclaimed many years ago it is a nice park although not great but it has excellent views of the city...More
