Great maritime museum with passionate and knowlegible staff. Not many people know of it and it is a gem once found. Particularly liked the First Fleet display and information, great for school age kids.

Very interesting history and displays. Entry is gold coin donation and the volunteer staff are very informative and passionate with a wealth of information about the local area.

Enjoyed visit to Seaworks (formerly Melbourne Harbour Trust Dockyard). Sea Shephard's ship Steve Irwin is moored here. This vessel is the organisation's flagship & has been disrupting Japanese whalers for a decade. Free tours on Sunday 12pm-4pm. Seaworks is also home to Maritime Discovery Centre...More

We wondered around this hidden little gem which we found be accident. Was fantastic with so much to see and read. All about ship and there voyages. It was only a gold coin donation for entry A great a worthwhile place to visit

The little museum on the site mostly has model ships, some were fascinating. The tall ship Tenacious was in dock, alongside two Sea Sheppard ships. Great view over to the city of Melbourne. Being a weekend, we also had a drink at the Pirates Tavern...More

Part of this Museum set-up is HMAS Castlemain a locally built WW2 corvette, convoy escort/minesweeper. Looked after with tender care by the museum. Quite striking as you come in on the river cruiser from Melbourne. Good to make sure you have a couple of hours...More

Terrific morning spent here and on the docks. We were lucky enough that one of the sea shepherd boats was in dock so we could get a tour. Informative volunteer guides who were very relaxed and let the small boy ring the ships' bells incessantly...More

Well what can i say....... rubbish We went on the day it said it was open, nothing was open. Just looks like a building site. All the front had barriers around it. There was a sign saying open, you had to squeeze throught a fence...More
