So what else would you do after dinner in winter, but go for a drive and walk Mait’s rest? Take your jackets and torches and enjoy the forest at night! You might be lucky with the glow worms (we weren’t), but it was a bit...More

This walk is well worth a visit. A little steep in a couple of places but path is generally an easy walk. Can be damp as it is in rainforest territory but would be nice an cool in summer.

We visited here with our 6yo daughter. The three of us really enjoyed seeing the glow worms. Be careful of the slippery boardwalks!

On your way through the otways, stop here to view the large trees and peaceful surrounds. great spot for a wedding, or for wedding photos. Take the time to see your surrounds as you miss so much beauty.

This is a nice walk maybe taking half an hour at most. It is very impressive to see trees that a so huge they block out the sky and it makes you aware of how small we really are. For kids, this is a beautiful...More

We stopped off at Mait's Rest while driving along the Great Ocean Road in 2016. It's not a botanical garden or anything but it is cool and shady portion of uncut rainforest with plenty of old trees, ferns, mosses and birds. No steep or slippery...More

A good spot to stretch the legs with a 20 min walk but dont expect any wow factors. Lots of ferns, twisted trunks and running water but thats about it.
