You can look at the view from a vast range of coffee / snack / meal restaurants, hire paddle boards and other aquatic 'toys', stroll out on the jetty & try your hand at fishing (BYO fishing gear), have a swim at the patrolled part...More

A lovely area with shopping, dining, drinking and a good variety of accommodation right on hand. Highly recommended.

With all of the warning signs about saltwater crocodiles and jellyfish, you might not want to swim here. However, it is a lovely place to walk.

On the first Sunday of the month (except Sept) and the markets. Runs most of the day. Really, the best location with interesting stalls and probably outshines Port Douglas Markets Sunday mornings. The lovely palm fringed shops and atmoshere is hard to beat. Now, a...More

Just a fabulous walk down an almost deserted beach - area for swimming but sadly most of the year stingers restrict where you can swim - nevertheless a great vista!

What a lovely beach! You can walk along the esplanade and there is a jetty at the end. We saw a big sting ray, the kids went crazy.

Great value for money day trip to Palm Cove. Translink offer a bus service that was so easy to find information on this self discovery. Cost was $11.40 return and winds it's way through the coastal townships in its way. Takes roughly 1 hour and...More

Great for little kids, beautiful, warm azure water. Plenty of trees to sit under to avoid sitting in the sun if you don't want to

Very pretty shallow, clean uncommercial beach with palm trees fringing the sand. They provide life guards and a netted area for swimming in “stinger season” this is a pretty small beach area with a cute shopping area-various eating places, I recommend Apres beach bar, and...More

Kathleen, I think the response from Lou Charlie is perfect. The only thing I can add is don't be put off visiting Palm Cove because you can't swim in the ocean. It's a gorgeous spot with a variety of accommodation options... More
