Can drive over the Ord Dam ( turnoff for Dam is 7kms from the WA/NT Boarder, then 30kms down sealed road. ) Great lookouts and end of road is a lovely grassy, shady picnic area with toilets.

This is a spectacular piece of engineering, the dam can actually keep the river water downstream to within 1cm of it's levels all year round. Awesome for photo opertunities too

A lovely piece of engineering and a great setting to boot. This is well worth a look if your driving into Kununurra. The kids will love it also

Very interesting story goes with this piece of engineering from 1950's (I think.) We drove over it while many of the gates were open and were lucky enough to be able to pull over to the viewing area on the Wyndham side and see huge...More
