You can get quite close to this dam and due to the amount of water around at the time we visited, it was quite an impressive sight. The picnic table was not so appealing though, as all but its roof was under water!

The Ord river diversion dam and the Ord river is very impressive and a highlight of the trip. We took a boat trip down the Ord river - love it! We saw fresh water crocodiles, bird life, flying fox and more.
