We camped at Chinese owned ELQ during July which is the busy dry season. An unpowered site is $22 per head per night plus it’s $12 pp for a permit for 24 hours to use their station. So all up one night for 2 people...More

The landscape is truely magnificent, beautiful walks, gorges, swimming and lookouts. We camped down by the river away from the crowds and had a wonderful time. It is however very expensive just to camp, and very commercialised, value for money is questionable, but, I guess...More

Elf is far too expensive for what is on offer. No dust controls, camp kitchen never cleaned, abolition block minimal cleaning, road under control of Elq poorly maintained. Overall very disappointed after big raps.

We stayed at a power site for two nights. We asked whether we can swap to another site. They said No. And the reason is that site has been booked already. Well, that site was empty for two entire days. Apart from this drama, the...More

We picked up a boat tour here. It was absolutely humming with activity and lots of campers. Boat tour was great but glad that we didn't stay. Nothing wrong with the park or the facilities - just very very busy.

I read with astonishment some of the poor comments about El Questro - don’t people realize they are in the middle of no-where and dust, gravel roads etc are just part of life up here. Having stayed in some very ordinary campsites during our Gibb...More

I’m sorry, I don’t agree with Rhonda E. Our experience with El Questro started very well. We walked Emma Gorge and thoroughly enjoyed it. On leaving and driving to El Questro’s campground we found the 16 km terribly rough... More
