Chanced on this camp only by speaking to a couple who stayed here the previous night. We were not disappointed. This is a working mine of rock I had never heard of before. The camp is grassed and unpowered but generators are allowed between 8-8....More

Decided to stay here after a friends recommendation. The camp site was a good sized grass site. We had a lovely peaceful sleep, and were able to transition to N.T time well. But luckily we were self sufficient as showers only stay warm for a...More

This small campsite has really basic showers, just two that never provide warm water even when the sun is shining brightly. We stayed here so that we could take the sunset cruise onto Lake Argyll to see the water birds and animal life, mainly crocodiles....More

The positives: friendly staff, fish & chips (even though it was catfish), free talk on history of the place. The negatives: tours much too expensive, cold showers. Rather stay at the Keep River NP and do a day trip here to catch the 3pm talk.

Great place, not too difficult to get to. Only criticism was that they gallery of rock creations was not open to kids.Did have a great chat with owner, a woman previously from Melbourne who has made the Territory her home.

The campground is fine but don't bother doing the wetland cruise unless you are interested in hearing a misogynistic racist rant. The sunset was of course spectacular but Kim's attitude to women and indigenous people was appalling. He didn't give any information about the bird...More

Yes, I believe that you can book ahead for this site and it is advisable to do so between May and October. I have no idea if they are currently offering any deals - best to email them to find out.
