Well worth a visit, highly recommend. We had a wonderful insight into life for the early settlers and history of Arrowtown itself. We spent a couple of hours looking around and reading all the information. Thank you

Our family enjoyed the experience of the Museum - a very comprehensive display of the local area, its people and endeavours throughout settled history. Really lovely to see the locals take such care and pride in their town and surrounds.

This place is worth the $10 entrance fee! The displays and information are amazing! We learned a lot about the history of Otago and couldn’t believe the number of authentic artefacts that had been collected over the years.

A lot more to see than we expected. Explore all floors. Based on History of Arrowtown. Very well laid out and interest maintained throughout the visit.

When visiting Arrowtown, forget the sweet shops and clothing shops. Do yourself a favour and visit this fantastic museum. It holds all the history of the area with lots of displays and interesting information. Its $10 to get in but well worth the money.

This place was excellent in terms of accessibility, price and knowledge. I loved the character of the place and how much they promoted the Maori and Chinese history particularly, it resonated wonderfully with the whole Arrowtown vibe. Also, a pan and shovel was only $3...More
