I visited Lac de Guerlédan with my grandparents and sister on quite a cloudy and cold day. There were many English on the beach, but it was not too crowed. We decided to do some water sports.
For 1 hour, me and my sister went...More
Came here for a swim in the lake as it’s over 30 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. A truly beautiful place. We got there at 11am before the crowds and there were only five people on the “beach”. Water lovely and warm...More
We were here for three days last week and thoroughly enjoyed the locale. The cider brut, calvados, and crepes alSo keep me interested! We saw a fellow catch a pike in the lake, so there are fish in there too!
Charming in the summertime, and...More
A lovely woodland walk round the outside of the lake. Skimming stones into the water. And a quick, cold, dip in the water, plus a play in the sand. And as it was out of season and a day littered with showers we hardly saw...More
Visited here on Tuesday with my partner and his parents. I definitely recommend; although out of season when we visited, it was still very enjoyable to have a dip in the lake and sit on the side to soak up the sun.

If you ever get the chance to visit the lake when it has been drained for maintenance then you must. We were fortunate to visit and explore the lake bed and canal which is normally submerged along with all of the old houses. In France...More

Yes, dogs are allowed in the lake, but in the summer they are not allowed on the sandy beach areas for obvious reasons. That's never been an issue for us as there are numerous small gravel and stone beaches away from the main beach areas that are ideal for dogs. Don't forget its a huge lake - 400 ha with a massive shoreline, so there is plenty of space for dogs away from the areas where people are swimming / sun bathing etc.
