Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went there on a Sunday afternoon. It was very crowded. Don't expect a nice quiet stroll on a beach. There are parent screaming at their kids, loud music, loud people and did I say crowded? Probably best to go on a week day.

Nice beach, fairly quiet. Shops and restaurants near by. Sand is quite rough but you can sunbathe on the grass above the beach. Loos and changing rooms near by.

Loads of things to do...Parking no problem, and great Beach for Kids, with a fantastic Ex Pats Pub, Speakers Corner, serving a wide range of Kiwi and English draught beers including Guinness

A great perspective, have a coffee or one of the local brews or wonderful wines all on offer; a great spot to chill for a few days.

Browns Bay Beach is my local Beach. It's one of the most popular beaches on the North Shore of Auckland. It's not the cleanest beach but it's still not filthy. It's got a beautiful view of Rangitoto island. It's got a big bank with heaps of picnic spots and a big playground for young children. It is also not even 2 minutes walk from the Browns bay shops which has heaps of nice cafes and food places.

The shear volume of dogs eliminates the possibility of describing this place as a beach. Despite owners best efforts of cleaning up, residue remains. This translates to a stretch of sand which is inundated with dog excrement. I have nothing against dogs, however, this is not a place i wold choose to swim or recommend any one else do so.

Lovely beach, one of my favourites on the North Shore. Nice and long and always something going on there. They have a large kids playground too so fun for the younger ones as well as tables and seats for that takeaway on the beach.

We took our teenage girls for a walk along the beach and an ice cream at Ginger Snap. Lots of delicious gelato flavours and nice coffee - I had almond milk coffee which was delicious. Not over the top price wise. Lots of cafes, not great shopping. Most closed on Saturday afternoon.
