The beach is wide, clean and has nice sand. Lots of places for kids to play. The beach seems to be a favourite location for dog lovers. There are numerous dogs but I have never seen any that are aggressive or problematic in any way. Nice place for a romantic walk. Lots of eateries in the area as well

This beach is for walking, laughing and launching your boat rather than for bathing in May. I did not see any bathers so that tended to make the point. We really loved seeing the couples with their dogs eagerly bounding up and down the beach and the families enjoying the good weather and a great walk on the beach. This... More

Browns Bay Beach is my local Beach. It's one of the most popular beaches on the North Shore of Auckland. It's not the cleanest beach but it's still not filthy. It's got a beautiful view of Rangitoto island. It's got a big bank with heaps of picnic spots and a big playground for young children. It is also not even... More

Swimming and sunbathing, Taking Grandchildren to the playground. Eating fish n chips on a picnic table or the grass. Enjoying a coffee or ice cream from... More

The shear volume of dogs eliminates the possibility of describing this place as a beach. Despite owners best efforts of cleaning up, residue remains. This translates to a stretch of sand which is inundated with dog excrement. I have nothing against dogs, however, this is not a place i wold choose to swim or recommend any one else do so.

One of my best beachs love the views and It's a great place just to take a walk or go for a swim the parking can get a bit hard to fine somewhere to stop on a nice sunny day but well worth a look and plenty of food shops near by.

This beach is a favorite among many Aucklanders to spend sunny days with their families and picnics. The waters are very calm and ideal for swimming, kayaking, jet skiing, paddle boarding or just lounging in. Very close to a variety of restaurants and even if you have missed something in your picnic, there are two supermarkets close by. In the... More

Great stop off for the day beach, lots of grass area and trees for shade. Clean beach, with shower facilities and changing rooms. Close to the centre of town, so go and get your food and come back and have a picnic. Clean water, not too crowded, but that was during the week, I hear it crowded the weekends and... More
