Very privileged to have had a flight in their 2 seater Spitfire. Thanks to Liz Ben and team.
Not my first spit flight, but just as good as the first!
And the display of the warbirds is superb.
Good luck to them all. A must visit if you like old aircraft.

Up Close and Personal with these beautiful aircraft
Aug 2018 • Couples
NZ Warbirds have developed a great facility at Ardmore airport...an hour out of Auckland set in lovely countryside and well worth the visit. We live nearby and are so lucky to have this onhand....a great range of WW1 and WW2 aircraft...lovingly restored and in flying condition. There are two busy hangars and volunteer guides on hand to tell you the stories behind the aircraft...and a photographic gallery that brings it all to life. The plans are beautiful, and on open days there are air shows and other events to enjoy. We loved our recent visit and its firmly on our visitors calendar...Top recommend...:)

Working Museum

Incredible place to visit, such a rare opportunity to see these aircraft flying. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and took time to escort us to a second hanger full of working WWI aircraft. The Harvard’s, Spitfire and Isaacs Fury all flew. There’s a cafe at the airfield for coffee and lunch. Highly recommended visit.

Brilliant visit
Jun 2018 • Couples
Visited the museum with my partner to see in particular the ex RNZAF A4K SKYHAWK for research purposes.
I was extremely impressed with the guide that we had who afforded us large amounts of time to view the aircraft and allowed for the taking of multiple photographs to allow me to build a scale model of the former RNZAF fighter.
Well worth the trip and excellent collection of real and scale model aircraft.
The staff were brilliant and we will definitely go back

Great day out
Apr 2018 • Couples
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival to the new Warbirds hangar. The volunteers were very friendly and knowledgable. I have not visited the previous hangar, but the new hangar is very interesting with lots of aircraft types and information about them. John showed us around today and was great, and it was good to hear from him some of the projects that are currently on the go. Having been to many aviation museums, it is great and special that the majority of the NZ Warbirds hangar consists of flying examples rather than static as this adds something different and exciting. Highly recommended and I look forward to visiting again soon and getting involved. Thanks again John and the NZ Warbirds team

Thank you taking the time to review our visitor center and speaking highly of us. We really value any feedback from our visitors both good and bad as it allows us to improve on aspects of our operation. We agree that our volunteers are an awesome bunch of people and they are very knowledgeable with all the aircraft types. Without them we would not be able to display our aircraft to the public. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
