The drive from Napier & Hastings was long but rather fun. A little precarious driving on the steep slopes nearer Ocean Beach though. However, I didn't really enjoy the beach in winter. Strong waves and even stronger wind! Perhaps I will come back in summer!

If you think Hawkes bay only has stoney beaches you would be wrong. This beach has a estuary which warms up so quick. I go here every summer and I love it.

Ocean Beach is a lovely sandy beach, just a few small holiday cottages but you can enjoy a walk in a quiet place. It is a few kms to get there but well worth the trip

This is a beautiful beach. My dad enjoyed a swim there but the rest of us just paddled and enjoyed the view. Steep drive down and a bit of a gravel path, but easy to get to otherwise.

It seems to me that the address TripAdvisor has for this beach is incorrect. The descriptions are of another local spot, not the address it has provided.

You are correct. The address and pin that's shown is for Haumoana. A map app will get you to OB though.
