Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I can’t get over how great this jewelry workshop was ! Tui and Mark are just the kindest : Tui picked me up at Russel Wharf, was kind enough to do the workshop even though I was alone, and the whole time was explaining everything about copper jewelry, showed me first before letting me try to do it. They also offered me tea and homemade muffins which were lovely ☺️ I learned a lot and left with great memories, had a great time chatting with them and Tui was very encouraging and kind and even gave me a lift to the Russel flagpole for me to visit next!
They were just amazing, cannot recommend them enough 🥰

Fabulous afternoon as soon as Mark picked us up from our accommodation. Ake Ake winery activated the tastebuds for both boutique wines and delicious limoncello. Lunch at Marsden Estate was fresh and flavoursome, followed by an offering of another 'full range' wine tasting.
Great food and wine onboard and feeling very content, we headed back to our accommodation stopping along the way at Living Nature for a quick bit of skin care shopping. A fabulous time and connect of beautiful Aotearoa showcased by Rogue Pony tours. Next day we were met at the wharf by Mark in his stunning Mustang, the drove us to the indoor studio where we let our inner creativity explode with some gentle metal bashing to create pieces of art for both our ears - and our walls. Honestly, I couldn't recommend this more.
Thanks Mark and Tui for a wonderful two days!

Thanks you Andrew for choosing us to show you both around the Bay of Islands and to escape the Waitangi day crowds. Having time to enjoy sites at your own pace is what our tours are all about. Tui also loved meeting you at lunch while on her wine tour. Cheers, Mark.

Rogue Pony Tours are excellent. I highly recommend Mark and his team. Mark has excellent knowledge and history of the Bay of Islands and Norhland. He knows the area extremely well and all the back stories. As Aucklanders we have been to Bay of Islands many times over the years and Mark still managed to give us Information that joined the dots together from knowledge we already had. Mark also knows all the places to go of interest and some neat ones off the beaten track!

Thanks Debs, It was great to meet you and your husband while you were up here in the Bay of Islands. Tailoring a tour to match the interests of our guests is what makes this such an enjoyable and rewarding way of meeting people from all corners of the world, even the close ones like Auckland! Go Rogue, Mark (and Tui)

Thanks Tui for an amazing cruise around the Bay of Islands today, loved being able to share in your knowledge of the local sights and also being able to sit back and take in the sights. The Hundertwasser Memorial Centre in Kawakawa is a must see on this tour and Mission House where the second signing of the Treaty of Waitangi took place!

We wanted to explore the "scenic roads less travelled" in the Bay of Islands region. Mark and Tui proposed some very nice small roads, very scenic ! ... We had a wonderful day. Thank you and we highly recommend Rogue Pony experiences.

Thanks Michel, so pleased that you had a great time on those back roads. That route is one of our favourites as it is so varied and contrasting in its geology and well as the ecology of the farmland, wetlands and forestry. Cheers, Mark

Thanks Mark for the experience. Very informative and great fun. We are locals and really enjoyed the run out to Rawhiti, definately worth doing for the V8 experience and the teenage kids loved it.

Awesome to meet you and your family. It was great that you made it all the way from Kerikeri to have a blast along the back roads of Russell. Glad the kids had fun, have they convinced you to buy one yet? Go rogue Mark

We had the opportunity to explore some of the area with Mark and whilst the weather was pretty naff, he modified the tour to make best use of our time and show us all the best bits. I learned much about the history of the place and went to places that I never knew existed. Highlights were the Kauri forest and the delicious lunch. Mark's knowledge and relaxed style made it enjoyable and he didn't just stick to a script - he found out our interests as we went and took us to the best places.
