About
Visit the home of NZ's best-loved peanut butter. Smell our freshly roasted nuts as they tumble out of the roaster and make their way to the peanut squasher. See Pic's squirting into a jar that winds its way along conveyors to the capping machines that automatically place and tighten Pic's famous star lids, to the labeller, a hi-tech licker, and placer that wraps the brown paper label around the jar. Watch as our team of white-clad peanut butter makers tweak and nurse the gleaming stainless machines into making the galaxy's finest peanut butter, load it into boxes, then wrap it onto pallets to be sent around NZ and the world. When you visit Peanut Butter World, why not treat yourself to a bite to eat from the on-site cafe, PC Eatery? They are open 5 days a week closing at 3 PM. Come and join our energetic tour guides on a tour, 30 people per tour, 10.00am, 11.30am and 1.30pm, booking is essential. Make sure you browse the shop for exclusive merch and peanut butter goodies.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Informative, innovative and interesting! The tour expertly weaves the history of the brand with practical demonstrations of how they smoothly manage to currently manufacture over 6 million bottles of peanut butter per year.

The tour was interesting, hearing how it got started. We could look down on the factory, seeing it being made, and tasting later.

Hey Delwyn, thanks for joining us on our tour! We love our purpose-built facility so we get the best views of the factory in action as possible. And ending with free samples is the cherry on the top!

A worthwhile trip for the family! Very informative, and story of Pic is inspirational. So nice that they consider the young ones with small play area, and treasure hunt for older ones. Observing the factory in action, waving at the floor staff, and making peanut butter - all fascinating. Tasting at the end was wonderful! Thank you for this free activity for families.

The entire Pics experience is so worthwhile. . So much information about peanuts, farming and processing that goes into making the end product. The staff were welcoming and professional with a bit of fun and humour thrown in.

We do love a good dad joke, and if it can be nutty at the same time, we're winning. We're always keen to hear new ones, if you come up with some, drop us a line!

Really fun, interesting, informative tour. So great they offer this for free, because they could easily charge and I think it speaks volumes. Not just great products but a really nice business. If you’re in Nelson you should def book a tour. We were already fans but if we weren’t this would have converted us.

What wonderful words! We absolutely love showing our visitors how we create New Zealand's #1 peanut butter. The free tours are such a fun way to give back to our peanut butter fans and our community. We hope your passion for what we do converts others!

Fantastic visit! Beautiful purpose designed building welcomes you. Pic’s whacky and fabulous personalty exudes with the great Toast Tour caravan and his story board which tells all. Cool to have a successful business icon who is so open and authentic. Loved making the peanut bike butter. And the fun facts my grandies will love them! Can’t wait to bring them here. Bought heaps of peanut butters for them. Seedy one is SO crunchy. Loved it all. Claudia and Rachael were great, and I loved seeing into the boardroom with meeting in progress Total transparency. Tu meke everyone! Thank you

Thanks, Sliggins! We're so pleased you enjoyed your time with us. The Pic's tours are one of a kind and everybody has so much fun learning about the history of the company and Pic himself. I have to agree with you, the Pic's seed and nut mix is such a winner in my eyes. If I take a jar home, it lasts about 4 days! Come back and visit again sometime soon - Claudia and the Tour Team
