Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I couldn't ask for a better trip! Logan was extremely accommodating. The trip over the top of the south was incredible. He changed up the route to see things we hadn't around the kahurangi national park. Even better he managed to get a few photos of us getting engaged. I couldn't recommend this trip or Logan more.

As you have likely read in the reviews, Logan is THE man for heli-tours out of Nelson.
Logan responded well to my pre booking questions, and with his chill attitude of 'we can do anything you want' I felt great about booking this first time in a heli adventure.
The Top of the South, albeit a bit pricy on our budget, was an INCREDIBLE experience and a lifetime memory. Bite the bullet and do this trip. No regrets. Logan has a great sense of humour, and is full of interesting facts and knowledge which he shared throughout the trip. Good NZ history as well.
NOTE: Logan kindly sent me the scarf I left behind in the helicopter in a timely fashion so I did not leave NZ without it! AWESOME customer service. AWESOME adventure.

Was a great sunny Nelson day to do a wine tour with Tasman Helicoptors. Logan was a great pilot with great conversation and was totally in control of the chopper. Great time

Absolutely great tour and Super friendly staff.
Amazing views and good comments and explanations of what to see.

We did the TOP of the south. Absolute recommendation. It‘s not cheap but worth the money.

My wife and I booked the "Top of the South" helicopter tour on the last day of our 2 week New Zealand holiday, and what a blast it was to end our trip with such a spectacular ride. The weather was clear, the temperature was slightly cool, and the views were stunning. Our pilot, Logan Moore, was very professional and safety oriented, and a good tour guide as well. The helicopter itself (a EuroCopter) was sleek and modern. It was our first helicopter ride, and not a bit scary - Logan is an excellent pilot. As part of the tour, we touched down at Arawoa Lodge for lunch, then stopped at Wharariki Beach (inaccessible by road or trail), then had a long touch-down on Mt. Olympus, where we walked about for about 30 minutes. The tour was expensive, but it completely met our (rather high) expectations.

What an amazing unforgettable experience we both had doing the Alpine Heli-gourmet trip! We had the perfect weather on the day, sunny blue skies and sprinkling of snow around on the ground where we landed. Logan our pilot was fantastic and it was exhilarating going around the mountain range, taking off and landing. Also our chef made a fabulous 5 course meal of yummy delicious food and wine. Thank you both so much for making our day so wonderful. We loved it!

Actually I hope it’s not the only time. Had a blast doing a flight w’ Logann from Marlborough back to Nelson. Late afternoon over the vineyards, then over the pine mountains landing on the top with the snow, chill factor 2 degrees brghhhh. Follow coast & sunset back to the airport. Quit simply breath taking. Thanks Logann! Love love loved!!

We used Tasman Helicopters for two transfers while in New Zealand; Stonefly Lodge to Marlborough Lodge and Marlborough Lodge to Wellington. Logan was an incredible pilot. If you’re looking to book a helicopter in the northern part of the North Island or southern part of the North Island, this is the company to fly with.

Golden Bay is not usually an area that one needs to escape, but ex-tropical cyclone Gita stranded us on the wrong side of the washed out Takaka Hill road, along with about 1000 other tourists. Needing to get to Nelson to meet other travel requirements we contacted Tasman Helicopters and with a phone call and a couple of e-mails were set to travel the next day. Logan arrived as scheduled and took us and our baggage to Nelson airport. While it was sobering to see the damage caused by the storm, it was a beautiful morning and the flight was awesome. The Eurocopter is a lovely machine and Logan provided us with helpful observations as we made the brief trip to Nelson. While this was not an excursion for us, the experience was a highlight of our time in NZ. We would highly recommend Tasman for anyone who needs helicopter access for a specific activity in this region, or for one of their excursion packages.

We have been very fortunate to have experienced helicopter flights in a number of places around the world, but this particular trip was spectacular from a number of perspectives...

Logan, our pilot, was very knowledgable with his commentary throughout much of the flight along the coast of Golden Bay and over the Kahurangi National Park. We landed on three separate occasions on the tour, once on the beach by Archway Islands, once up the mountains on the slopes of Mount Olympus, and once next to a mountain lake and waterfall.

The lodge we were staying at provided us with a hamper, so we were able to take refreshments when we undertook our mountain stop whilst gazing at the magnificent views and amazing rock formations, incidentally from where they filmed part of Lord of the Rings ! The added advantage of where we were staying is that the helicopter landed right next to our villa, so there was no transit time to any heliport.

The view of the coastline along this most northern part of South Island was spectacular, as were the views across the National Park. What we saw over the circa 4.5 hour trip would have taken days on foot, given most of it is inaccessible by car.

All in all, a fantastic (and very privileged) way to see this beautiful part of the world ...
