    Great cafe!
This review is for the cafe. We have however been to the Museum previously and it was a lot of fun! (And we’re not car nuts at all!). The cafe is our go-to in the area. Excellent range of food and I love the cheese scones! Coffee great and hot. Excellent t cafe. Cheers!

    Nelson Motor Museum
This has to be one of the best motor museums we have visited since moving to NZ. The layout and the vehicles are immaculate. Real value for money and a great variety of cars. Just a pity they didn’t have the Austin Healey sprite but I cannot complain. Kudos NMM 😊😊❤️❤️🇳🇿🇳🇿

    Great Collection of Antique Cars
Opened in 2020, the Nelson Museum has amassed what is considered one of NZ finest collection of over 150 of mostly vintage automobiles (110 years of motoring). Mot of the cars are understandably right hand driven units with many British and American models. There are BMW, Jaguars, Cadillacs, MG, Triumphs, Corvette, Packards, Mini-Cooper (the worlds fastest), etc, that are of interest. Inserted into the two buildings housing the cars are displays of a old gas station and soda shoppe. Also included in the two buildings are a coffee shop and a museum store with trinkets of interest for the car enthusiast. Many of the cars are taken out periodically for community fairs and events. The cars are in fantastic shape and beautifully maintained. the display matches the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles.

One of the best collections I've seen.
This would rate a one of the motoring collections I have seen in one place. The level of detail in the exhibition is right up there. The wife is not someone who loves cars ,but even she made comments on how good it is. The first hall was good, the second just topped it off. If you like cars , you will love this place. The cafe at the front is also excellent.

Great rainy day or a must for petrol heads
What a neat, funky place. It’s not massive but there’s a ton to see especially if you’re a petrol head. Very well laid out with heaps of cars, old and newer. Really enjoyed our visit and the cool gift shop too!

    Petrol head heaven
As a petrol head this was a must see and did not disappoint. Amazing variety of cars and in immaculate condition, even had a few of one's I've owned over the years. Friendly atmosphere, great volunteers and a must see when in Nelson. We will be back.

The tour was outstanding and the two staff cleaning the cars were amazing to talk to and provide additional information and insights. We as a family all enjoyed this visit.

Nicely presented, amaculate classic cars, many American in origin.
However, we found the collection a bit same same after a while. In the two hour period, we only saw 1 or 2 other groups.
A few things I would do...
- Make it more interactive via video and stories about how the cars were made or used.
- Make it more educational.
- Engage kids simply via a search challenge, fun facts, etc.
