The Museum is easily found in the main centre. It is relatively small but has a great focus on local history. Very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours.

This was a very nice smaller museum. Awesome history and lovely stories. My wife and I particularly liked the one around the elephants. Lots about classic New Zealand. The museum definitely punches above its weight. When we went, they also had the moon exhibition on which was great to see. Definitely worth dropping in while in town.…

Not much to see. The upper levels were closed when we visited, so maybe there would have been something more interesting there. Not worth the $5 entry fee in my opinion.

Great museum featuring interactive and well curated exhibits on local history of the region. Loved the Moon exhibit too- very informative, fascinating and well worth the trip.

Great welcome from Ryan who explained about the museum and its exhibits. The museum was full of local artefacts and stories of local people. The exhibit about the moon was excellent. Worth more than the 5 dollar entrance fee.
