We are a mobile Kitesurfing, Wingfoil and SUP school based in Nelson the sunshine capital of NZ. We offer Lessons, Hire, Sales and good advice. Kitescool is the only kitesurfing school in the South Island, we know the local conditions and beaches better than anyone! Come and take advantage of Nelson amazing beaches and constant winds! Let our team of experienced qualified instructors get you up and riding.

I took a Wingfoil lesson when I was in Nelson. The lesson took place at Tahunanui Beach. When the sea is low then there are no waves and this makes practice easier. The equipment was of good quality and the instructors were competent and friendly.

Wingfoiling lessons with Wiebke…..complete beginner. It was just what I needed to get up and going. Highly recommend individual or very small group as it’s not quite as easy as many make it look!! Wiebke was very knowledgeable, and patient….I needed to be told several times that I needed to pull back with my rear arm. Excellent advice on equipment choices etc and have bought my own as I’m now HOOKED.
The bruises are all part of the experience.
Get out there and book lessons with KITESCOOL….you will not regret it.

Never tried Kitesurfing before, but have wanted to do so for quite a while. Wiebke was an awesome teacher. The groups of students were really small and once I even had a solo training, in which I got teached to stand up on the board for the first time. Really good communication too (also in german if you need), Wiebke explained and showed everything very well. On days on which the weather is just not good enough they were realistic and honest to keep your experience safe and pleasant.
You can reach the beach where they teach in Nelson really easy by bus and they provide all the equipment (Suit, harness, kite etc.)
Overall I really enjoyed it, made lot's of progress from scratch and can defnitely recommend learning there :)

I had never done Kitesufing before or any sports for that matter so I was nervous about learning to Kitesurf but Warren made it easy for me to understand learn and I went from 0 confidence to fully confident and I recommended Kitescool to everyone, I had such a blast! 10/10.

We had kitesurfing guidance from Wiebke for two days, and we LOVED it!! She gave actionable, real-time instruction and advice, encouragement when we needed it, and plenty of room to experiment with stuff and ask questions. She clearly loves what she does and is a master at it. Adding to that was the high-quality equipment and a really safe, inviting beach to launch from. I highly recommend Kitescool and Wiebke for both beginners (like our friends with us) and those with experience (like me and my wife). We had a blast!!

The most fun you can have flying a kite, even if you don't step foot in the water. It's also a great way to connect with fun people from around the world. It's easy to be captivated by the ease at which kitesurfers skim across the sea - it's harder than it looks, which is why it's a good idea to learn from the pros. Even a beginner lesson is a great way to spend an afternoon, learning the ropes.

We had a fantastic introduction to kitesurfing over three days with Weibke and Warren. Tahunanui beach was a beautiful setting and the water almost warm! Every new skill was layered in a safe and controlled manner to make what had initially seemed very daunting instead lots of fun and gave us the confidence to practice our new skills before going back to learn more! Thanks to you both!
