My husband and I, brother and sister in law had a week with Milo and Kimberley sailing through the Marlborough Sounds. The weather was inclement however the company was great and the food amazing, wine supplies were excellent too. We fell in love with this beautiful part of the world and it was a delight to meet some of the local characters. Milo is extremely professional and even though we had a gale to contend with at no time did we feel concerned as he is a competant and cautious seaman.At some stage in the future I would love my grandchildren to experience sailing with Milo, this would be such a rewarding experience for youngsters. Without hesitation we can say this was one of the most memorable holidays of our life.

Thank you for your review Raewyn, it was a delight getting to know you. We really enjoyed exploring the footsteps of Capt. Cook with you. Of all the places Kimberly and I have sailed in the world, we are convinced this is the most beautiful! It’s fantastic sharing with people who appreciate it so much.

This was a great teambuilding day. Our students do not often get the opportunity to go on board of a luxury yacht, let alone be responsible for sailing one! This is a ‘real’, as opposed to contrived, experience, engaging and challenging people of all ages and stages. The staff is very experienced and know when to let you do it and where to assist. Safety is their number one priority without wrapping the experience up in cotton wool! Thanks heaps.

We celebrated our daughter's 21st with our friends and family on the good ship Sh'kinah, complete with crispy duck, fine wine, warm hospitality and impeccable service. The view of the city shoreline from our anchorage at the boulder bank brought back fond memories. We highly recommend "Gourmet Sailing" to anyone planning a special evening beyond the ordinary.

What a lovely evening,and we're so glad you enjoyed the duck! We had reviewed our menu with the Chef only a few days earlier and wondered about keeping it on the menu - thanks to your feedback, the duck's there to stay now:)

Thanks so much to Kimberley & Milo for a fabulous afternoon cruising the Nelson Haven, we were pampered with wine & delicious canapes (loved the mini pork belly quiches!), the weather was stunning & the ambience on your beautiful yacht was very relaxing. Just the tonic for a busy Mum!

We celebrated a friends 21st. It was a beautiful night. Crew competent and very friendly. Food excellent. Amazing how crispy duck and bok choy could have been cooked so perfectly. Cruise just the right length.

Our trip aboard Gourmet Sailing was a thank you gift to volunteers for Purple Cake Day. This gift came from Milo and Kimberley - the company's owners. They didn't have to do this but they wanted to which really just goes to show what kind of people they are.
They pampered us, made us laugh, warmed us, fed us, and gave us a very cruisy sail around the bay. We saw seals bathing and resting on rocks. We talked and walked around the decks of the boat. We even had warm blankets brought to us for our laps.
I think my favorite things were Milo's safety talk (which was given with great humor), the cucumber and salmon nibbles, and the delish glass of Sauv (okay, I'll admit it... 2 glasses...)
All in all it was amazing. I feel so grateful not just to have experienced one of their adventure sails but to meet them. I'll never forget it. I want to bring back everyone I know!

A tremendous day out on the Harbour around Nelson with fabulous hosts Milo and Kimberly. The food and service was sublime and the ship is a beauty.

Friday week ago, I arranged a surprise 50th birthday party for my partner on board Gourmet Salings 65ft Ketch. What a fantastic night, we had a 3 course gourmet meal for the 24 guests that was simply outstanding, Duck Confite, the best I have ever tasted and service that was second to none, Milo, Kimberly and his team provided a wonderful experience, sailing around the harbour and out through the cut, we dropped anchor near Haulashore Island where we had dinner, the sea was flat, the sun streaming in and what a view back towards Nelson, simply stunning. Milo and his team were great to work with leading up to the event, JoJo made sure everything was perfect right down to the decorations and decking the cabin out for the overnight stay.
Everyone on board was pampered with great wine, fantastic food and we were made to feel like the yacht was ours for a day. What an experience, fantastic hosts!
If you are looking for something that will be truly memorable then I suggest this is the answer. it will certainly stay in the memories of everyone that was aboard and a trip out on Tasman Bay will remind you of how beautiful Nelson is. Thanks Milo and Kimberly we will be back for another experience soon

Sailing with Milo and Kimberley on the beautiful 'Simply Wild' Beneteau in Nelsons' lovely waters is an experience not to forget. They are the most lovely of hosts who just enjoy sharing themselves with guests. The Abel Tasman and Tasman Bay are certainly on of NZs' nicest and safest areas to be sailing in. Wearing just boardshorts for a whole afternoon crossing from Anchorage Bay to Nelson city was a lovely experience, with a warm breeze pushing us along at good speed.
