What a great look into the past. The original town of Nelson has been preserved here, and as you wander through you can see how it was once upon a time. Fascinating place to wander and explore and as an added bonus there are local...More

Plenty to see here, with beautifully presented buildings from the area's past. Sadly, nowhere to get a coffee or a bite to eat as the outlets were closed.

This place is free to enter for the locals with I.D or very reasonable cost for out of town visitors. $5 a head for the train ride. Plenty to look at. Good replicas of nelsons heritage and how things were in the old days. Spend...More

The Founders Park offers so many year-round events - Train rides, Book Fair in June, Evolve Festival early in the year (Jan/Feb), and so many cute shops to check out. Well worth stopping in for a browse - and train ride.

This was much better than I expected. Lots to do and see, interesting exhibits. Plenty to keep the children amused and generally and all round great place to visit. The price was very good for families.

Very interesting place. The buildings reflected a bygone era, bringing back many memories of childhood especially in the store. Sadly we visited in the 'off season' and not all the buildings were open. We need to re-visit.

Sadly all that investment is a waste of money. Could be have more publicity and bring more people to visit the place. Is a beauty little town but empty and bore. The council needs to take action of this place and do their best with...More

This a wonderful collection of shops and businesses that people worked in the late 1800s. It is well spread out with a train ride available at certain times of the day/year. Something for the young and old. A café is open part of the day...More

We tried to go today but we were told we couldn’t pay with a credit card. We are from Melbourne and only have our travel cards which need to go through as credit. So we couldn’t go. They don’t have an ATM at the entrance...More
