This is a historic replica of how life was in a village during the1880's and 1930's. Opened to the public in 1986, it is only a short walk from down town Nelson and worth the visit if you have the time, there is also street...More

This has the making of a great attraction. We went on a Monday and it was very quite but all you could do was walk around the buildings. Interesting but! I understand that on weekends they have people dressed up in period costume and that...More

Another hidden gem in Nelson, a must for visitors and locals alike, you can even take a train ride here :)

Being Resident you can enter the park free. It's always a pleasure to walk through, around , get in the buildings, discover new things, people, plants with the spring feeling. Staff is very nice and listening when you tell then about something needing fixing.

Plenty to see here, with beautifully presented buildings from the area's past. Sadly, nowhere to get a coffee or a bite to eat as the outlets were closed.

The Founders Park offers so many year-round events - Train rides, Book Fair in June, Evolve Festival early in the year (Jan/Feb), and so many cute shops to check out. Well worth stopping in for a browse - and train ride.

This was much better than I expected. Lots to do and see, interesting exhibits. Plenty to keep the children amused and generally and all round great place to visit. The price was very good for families.
