The trip was great!
Unfortunately we had a flat tire and Chris immediately came to our rescue!!!
They even helped out find a great spot for dinner.
Would definitely recommend.

We were looked after so well from the moment we booked to the end of the ride.
No stone left unturned. We all agreed that the cost was very reasonable considering the standard of the e-bikes.

Bernie and Chris couldn't have been more helpful. We had 4 days of cycling Great taste loop Stoke, Mapua, Motueka, Tapawera, Stoke broken by 3 days walking in Abel Tasman National Park. Bernie was so helpful in the planing stage helping dove tail the various parts. Chris even came out and gave the bikes a clean and tune up while we were on the walk. Great suggestions of places to get a coffee or meal along the way.
Highly recommend gentle cycling company if you going to Nelson.

We have just completed the Loop to Loop Great Taste cycle trail, 6 days with 3 kids. It was great, Chris and Bernie did fantastic job, organized bikes, accommodation, gave us great recommendations for dinners etc, did everything with a smile and can do attitude. Highly recommend xxx

We cycled the Great Taste Trail starting in Woodstock through to Kaiteriteri. What a great trip. Bernie at Gentle Cycling was extremely helpful in customizing the itinerary and trip to fit our needs and arranging the accommodation and luggage transfer. We used e bikes for the first time and were grateful as the track varies from rough gravel hilly sections to smooth flat sections and paved roads. The itinerary worked well for us including pick up and drop off. Instructions and the briefing by Chris and Bernie made the trip easier together with their recommendations of things to see and places to eat. All this in a beautiful and sunny part of NZ. We just need to remember to bring padded bike pants next time!

Bernie and Chris put together the best trip along the Great Taste trail which allowed me to bike from Stoke to Kaiteriteri to join my Abel Tasman trip. I did this as a solo ride with two overnight stays, and their restaurant/winery/brew recommendations were perfect. The accommodations were excellent as well - I only wish I had spent a second night in Mapua, a lovely little town. Gentle Cycling went above and beyond, and Bernie checked with me every evening to make sure all was well. Highly recommend Gentle Cycling to arrange a bike trip in the Nelson area.

5 friends, all about 70, cycled the great taste trail from stoke to Kaiteriteri and return. We rented our e bikes from gentle cycling. The bikes were virtually new, step through e bikes. Easy to operate. After an 8am briefing by Bernie at Gentle Cycling we rode 58 km from Stoke to Motueka which was a challenging first day. We had arranged our own Airbnb accommodation for each stop and had a car to move our bags along the trail. Chris picked us up from Mapua and returned us to the airport.
This is a lovely cycling experience with many nice cafes and restaurants along the route.
Highly recommended for a group holiday. We were blessed with nice weather.

Chris and Bernie were fantastic to deal with super helpful super friendly and provided great support turning up to fix flat tyres doing special pick up and drop off nothing was too much trouble and their recommendations on what to see and where to eat were spot on. If you want to do a supported self guided stress free cycling trip let the Gentle Cycling Co wrap their arms around you!
