New Zealand is full of wonderful gardens and these are among the best we have visited to date. There are a number of different garden styles and some great sculpture throughout the gardens, and we enjoyed strolling through here each day.

We found this almost by accident while walking the path through Oamaru. Unbelievable extensive gardens with playgrounds, ponds, aviary, NZ flora and a rose garden. Free.

This park is well maintained and a pleasant walk. It is separated into areas and there is a guide pamphlet to help you navigate around. It had a conservatory and also an aviary so there is something for all (most).

Excellent park, playground and gardens. Perfect for a lunch stop with children. Does have an aviary, but this is unfortunately run down at moment.
