A spacious well lit area to display Craft and Art, could display a lot more Art, textiles, Sculpture so heaps of scope for new creators to come.

Seldom to you see such a spacious gallery for displaying art, it really allows for each of the many pieces to stand out, and is an impressive area. Historic touches include leaving some of the old machinery in place.The Loft also has a collection of beautiful rugs and sells small items such as hand creams.I can recommend the one I purchased, SteamCream for dry skins. Testers available. The only drawback is the two flights of stairs,(no lift, but a couple of chairs to rest on at the halfway point, most people would manage without them) However as I climbed I was intrigued to find out what will be there at the end, I was not disappointed with the range of exhibits. I would recommend a visit,good for us mentally and physically! …

But worth it, an interesting warehouse style art gallery with some lovely works and rugs, the sales lady was a little pushy with selling something... anything !!

One of many buildings within the Harbor Precinct that is worth while to visit and see the architecure ... any building in theis area is nice to look at and see how they built them in the not too distant past ... many places have demolished such buildings and surroundings ... Good on Oamaru for not doing so .... …
