I went alone, but enjoyed seeing the imaginative play equipment and the tree trunk sculptures. love the massive penny farthing! and the nearby railway footbridge was ideal to get a "drones eye " view of the area

A pretty cool steampunk themed playground with an assorted of structures that will amuse both little kids and adult kids. Definitely worth a stop and play.

This is such a wonderful asset for the Oamaru town. All equipment is sturdy and well made with several pieces having a certain quirkinesses! Wonderful to wander, sit and relax, use BBQ’s on site or picnic. A definite must visit for all!!!

The playground specialty is BIG things, from a big tunnel slide to a big flying fox, and a full sized fishing boat, and a huge climbing net that incorporates the slide. What a great place for older children to extend themselves and "have a go".

This is a unique playground area for kids both big and small. A good selection of steampunk themed pieces of equipment for climbing on and having fun. Your kids will love it. And beside the harbour with walkways and cafe handy means you can easily spend a few hours down here.

After driving past all the historic buildings in this small town, we headed to the harbour for a cup of tea and found this amazing playground. All the equipment is Steampunk themed (that is one of the themes promoted for this town) and is dominated by a huge penny-farthing bike from which hang the swings. The rest of the equipment includes a flying fox which ends at a steampunked elephant and a hamster wheel. It is on the shores of the small harbour and there is a cafe next door. A great place for children and adults to spend a fun time especially if it is a break from a road trip. It's free to boot!
