After reading such good reviews, but husband and i decided to invest a hefty amount just to see these magical creatures. Also, it was our 10th anniversary, so we thought it would be really nice. Unfortunately we did not see any whales, but we did see few pods of dolphins, but it was from so far up, that they looked... More

Our flight was about 30 minutes and it was such a great flight we go to see Sperm Whale and some Dusky Dolphins. The pilot would dip the wings so we could get some great photos and views. I really nice way to see everything from above.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience and matches any overseas attraction we have been privileged to visit. Friendly and courteous staff and extremely professional in both piloting the aircraft as well as imparting the goods on the life of the local whales. Whilst we didn't actually see any whales it didn't detract from the overall experience. Would definitely recommend to all visitors... More

Even if you only have 1 day in Kaikoura - just make sure you do not miss out on going up in a comfy little aeroplane to fly right over the giant whales as they come up for air and rest. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable and told us all about the whales in the area. They even... More

Went with my dad and sis an had a blast! Pilot was really amazing and informative. Dad used to fly a lot in small planes and said he was best pilot he has flown with. the whale was fairly close to shore-very cool!

If I could give this 10 stars I would!! I have been to the Galapagos Islands, the Arctic and many, many more places and Wings over Whales rates in the top 3!! From the moment I arrived I was given professional treatment with safety first but a huge dollop of enthusiasm too! My pilot was both a superb pilot but... More

We were originally meant to view the sperm whales by boat but it was too windy, so we went up in the plane. The views of the ocean & mountains were stunning. We only spotted two sperm whales very briefly before the dove for a feed, so the whale experience wasn't that great but that is the luck of the... More

Everything about the flight was amazing! From the moment we arrived we were treated fantastically. Before we flew our pilot gave an excellent briefing on the whales and the surrounding area's ecology which was very informative. I was a bit nervous about the flight but it was smooth and I was very relaxed. There where only the two of us... More

Hello Martin, Thank you for your warm review. Our briefing is both informative and interesting and forms an excellent foundation for our Whale Watching flights. I'm very glad you enjoyed your trip. From time to time we have first time flyers who are not accustomed to small aircraft but once they are in the air and feel how smooth the... More
